Job summary

Redwood Materials seeks an EHS Manager – Construction to lead a team of on-site Construction Safety/EHS Specialists across multiple EPC projects in the U.S. The role ensures OSHA/EPA/DOT compliance, incident investigations, and standardized EHS execution aligned with the Director’s strategy.

You will partner with client EHS leadership and GC safety teams, drive a zero-injury program, and report safety performance to the EHS Director.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of construction EHS experience required, including 5+ years supervising EHS professionals
• Associate’s degree in construction safety management or CHST certification (or equivalent) with relevant experience
• Ability to interface with Senior Executive teams at customer sites in a professional safety-forward manner

Responsibilities

• Directly manage a team of on-site Construction Safety/EHS Specialists across multiple projects
• Translate program strategy into standardized site-level execution across the portfolio
• Establish and audit EHS procedures, standards, and training programs
• Serve as escalation point for serious incidents and regulatory issues
• Maintain relationships with client EHS leadership and GC safety leadership at the program level
• Coordinate site-specific safety plan requirements with customers and GC teams
• Develop EHS improvement strategies including injury reduction and safety culture
• Ensure site audits, inspections, and engagement activities align with EHS program
• Identify site safety equipment needs and ensure availability
• Assist with incident investigations and implement corrective actions
• Ensure personnel have required safety training and address non-compliant procedures
• Evaluate subcontractors' safety programs and promote Redwood culture
• Travel up to 40% across multiple sites
