Job summary

SpaceX in the United States seeks a Sr. Manager, Environmental Health & Safety to lead a high-performing EHS team at the Starship launch site. You will drive implementation of programs across multiple groups, ensuring compliance and safe operations in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires deep expertise in risk assessment, industrial hygiene, and process safety, with hands-on leadership and the ability to influence cross-functionally. Up to 25% domestic travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in any field.
• 10+ years of experience in design, development, and general operational oversight of EHS disciplines.
• 5+ years of progressive EHS management experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead comprehensive EHS programs and operational plans across teams.
• Set day-to-day priorities and long-range plans for the EHS organization.
• Lead EHS risk assessments and drive controls to mitigate hazards.
• Coordinate with site leadership for process safety in plans and procedures.
• Represent the EHS department at site leadership level.
• Provide guidance on job assignments and safe work procedures.
• Ensure mission and values are communicated and integrated with goals.
• Implement OSHA-compliant occupational safety programs.
• Evaluate equipment overpressure/overtemperature scenarios.
• Coordinate with local response agencies as main point of contact.
