Job summary

SpaceX seeks a Sr. Manager, Environmental Health & Safety in Pecan Island, LA to lead comprehensive EHS programs at our Starship high-rate launch site.

You will guide a multidisciplinary team, drive regulatory compliance, and implement safety controls in a fast-paced aerospace environment. The role requires deep experience in EHS risk assessment, industrial hygiene, and equipment safety, with the ability to influence cross-functionally and travel up to 25% as needed.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in the design, development, and general operational oversight of EHS disciplines.
• 5+ years of progressive EHS management experience.
• Strong knowledge of federal and state EHS laws and standards; Louisiana experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead comprehensive EHS programs and operational plans across multiple teams, aligned to SpaceX EHS standards.
• Set day-to-day priorities and long-range plans for the EHS organization.
• Lead EHS risk assessments and drive controls to mitigate hazards.
• Coordinate with site leadership to ensure process safety involvement in plans and procedures.
• Represent the EHS department at the site leadership level.
• Provide guidance on job assignments and safe work procedures to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Ensure mission and values are communicated and integrated within team goals.
