Job summary

SpaceX seeks a Sr. Manager, Environmental Health & Safety to lead all EHS programs at the Starship high-rate launch site. You will guide a talented team, drive risk assessments, and implement engineering controls to ensure safety and compliance in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 10+ years in design, development and oversight of EHS disciplines.
• 5+ years in progressive EHS management experience.
• Experience in aerospace or energy industry preferred.
• Knowledge of OSHA, NFPA, ASME and related standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead comprehensive EHS programs and plans across teams.
• Set day-to-day priorities and long-range EHS goals.
• Lead EHS risk assessments and implement controls.
• Coordinate with site leadership for safety involvement.
• Represent the EHS department at leadership level.
• Guide job procedures and ensure accuracy of tasks.
• Communicate mission and values within the team.
• Implement OSHA-based processes, programs and docs.
• Evaluate overpressure/overtemperature scenarios.
• Serve as primary contact for local response agencies.
