AbbVie in Durham, North Carolina, is hiring a Senior EHS Manager to lead global Environmental, Health and Safety programs for a new manufacturing campus. You will guide governance, risk reduction, and compliance across GMP operations, driving audits, investigations, and cross-functional collaboration with a focus on long-term value.

Ideal candidates have 8+ years in EHS within pharma manufacturing, with a Bachelor's degree in a related field and experience in drug substances or biologics.

Qualifications

• In-depth knowledge through a Bachelor's degree in Environmental, Health & Safety or related field plus 8+ years in EHS.
• Experience in drug substance, drug product, biologics or aseptic sterile fill finish manufacturing required.
• Demonstrated experience implementing EHS regulations, internal EHS standards, auditing, incident investigations and cross-functional teams.

Responsabilités

• Oversee development and governance of global EHS programs and standards.
• Lead audits, regulatory interactions and environmental compliance initiatives.
• Coordinate back-office processes for EHS Audit Program including data trending and metrics.
• Provide leadership to staff and manage team performance to hit targets and budgets.
• Partner with sites to prepare for regulatory interactions and evidence alignment.
• Drive continuous improvements with long-term business value in GMP manufacturing contexts.
• Lead day-to-day operations across EHS teams and plan for workforce needs and timelines.
