Job summary

BD is seeking an EHS Multi-Site Leader to oversee Environmental, Health, and Safety for multiple sites in the Durham, NC area. You will align site EHS programs with global strategies, assess capability, and drive improvements across the network.

The role partners with site directors and central EHS to ensure regulatory compliance, training, incident investigations, and data-driven performance reviews, shaping a strong safety culture across BD's operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science, Engineering, or Occupational Health & Safety or related degree.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in EHS program direction.
• Willingness to travel ~25–40%.

Responsibilities

• Owns the development and leadership of the EHS BU Strategy.
• Leads recruitment for Site EHS Leaders and other key EHS Roles.
• Provides training to sites and leadership through Leaders as Teachers model.
• Primary point of contact for assigned sites; coordinates with site leadership.
• Own and drive quality and consistency of injury and incident investigations across sites.
