Job summary

Itron, Inc. is seeking an experienced EHS Manager to lead environmental, health, and safety for a large-scale manufacturing site in West Union, SC.

The role involves hands-on leadership, improving LOTO and machine safety, and sustaining ISO 14001/45001 programs while driving practical safety on the floor. You will collaborate with Engineering, Maintenance, Operations, and site leadership to assess risks, implement corrective actions, and ensure regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Safety, Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field.
• 10+ years of progressive EHS experience in manufacturing.
• 5+ years leading EHS programs for a complex manufacturing operation.
• Experience rebuilding or significantly improving Lockout/Tagout programs.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA requirements and manufacturing safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate the site's EHS management system, programs, and field execution to identify gaps and improvement opportunities.
• Develop and execute corrective action plans to close gaps and strengthen EHS performance.
• Maintain ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 certifications while improving practical effectiveness of management systems.
• Lead and strengthen Lockout/Tagout and machine safety across equipment and lines.
• Partner with Engineering, Maintenance, Operations and other teams to address manufacturing risks.
• Lead risk assessments and hazard identification with implemented controls.
• Investigate incidents and drive corrective actions to resolution.
• Oversee environmental compliance programs and emergency preparedness.
• Track EHS performance metrics and drive continuous improvement.
