Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Sr. Environmental Engineer to lead and implement environmental, health and safety programs at the Starbase site in Pecan Island, LA.

You will build an environmental compliance program from the ground up, interact with federal, state, and local regulators, and work closely with engineering teams to meet regulatory requirements in a fast-paced aerospace setting. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering with environmental focus or related field.
• 5+ years designing, developing, and executing environmental regulatory programs.
• Experience developing SWPPPs and site BMPs for stormwater compliance.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and improve environmental compliance programs at the Starbase site.
• Maintain compliance with regulations from TCEQ, DOT, EPA and other agencies.
• Audit environmental programs to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Manage hazardous materials program, compliance calendar, and recordkeeping tools.
• Maintain stormwater, spill prevention, and wastewater permits.
