Job summary

ASM is seeking a Sr. Manager, Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) to lead the EHS team for a new Scottsdale facility.

You will partner with site leadership, facilities, engineering, and operations to establish a safe, compliant, and high‑performing workplace from startup through full operations. You will build, implement, and continuously improve the site EHS management system, lead safety and environmental programs, and shape the EHS culture as the site grows into a major operational hub within

Qualifications

• BS or MS in health and safety engineering, industrial engineering, chemical engineering, chemistry, environmental science, occupational safety, or related field.
• 10+ years of progressive EHS experience in manufacturing, semiconductor, or high‑tech environments.
• Experience leading or developing EHS professionals or cross‑functional teams in a startup/scale‑up setting.
• Working knowledge of ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and EHS management systems.
• Experience with environmental programs including air permitting, wastewater, stormwater, hazardous materials, and waste management.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to influence across functions.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Scottsdale facility EHS program during startup, commissioning, and full operations.
• Build and continuously improve the EHS management system aligned with company and regulatory requirements.
• Partner with design, construction, facilities, engineering, operations, and global EHS teams to embed EHS in processes and layouts.
• Develop and coach the EHS team; foster a collaborative, service‑oriented culture.
• Lead audits, incident investigations, and corrective actions to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.
