Job summary

ASM is seeking a Sr. Manager, Environmental Health & Safety to lead the EHS team at its Scottsdale, Arizona facility. This role will shape the EHS culture, management systems, and environmental programs from startup through full operations.

The leader will drive practical EHS execution across safety, environmental compliance, and waste management, partnering with site leadership, facilities, engineering, and global EHS teams to enable safe, compliant operations and scalable growth.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive EHS experience in manufacturing, semiconductor, or high‑tech environments.
• Experience leading, supervising, or developing EHS professionals or cross‑functional teams is strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and EHS management systems, regulatory compliance, incident management, audit programs, and corrective actions.
• Experience with environmental programs including air permitting, emissions tracking, wastewater, stormwater, hazardous materials, hazardous waste, universal waste, and required plans, inspections, records, and reports.
• Strong written and verbal communication and analytical skills; able to influence stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Scottsdale facility EHS team and advise site management on regulatory compliance, risk reduction, emergency readiness, and EHS performance.
• Lead and develop the Scottsdale EHS team, set priorities, coach, and build a service‑oriented EHS culture.
• Establish EHS programs for the new facility with procedures, inspections, training, reporting, and management reviews.
• Help define future EHS strategy for the site to support growth, technology development, and operations ramp.
• Partner with design, construction, facilities, and engineering to integrate EHS into layouts, chemical and gas systems, and utilities.
• Influence executives, employees, contractors, vendors, and regulatory agencies; drive data‑driven risk reduction.
• Oversee incident reporting and investigations and ensure corrective actions are completed.
