Job summary

CND Life Sciences is seeking a Senior Manager, Environmental Health, Safety & Facilities in Scottsdale, AZ to lead the EHS program and oversee facilities operations across the organization.

As the EHS expert, you will ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, CLIA, CAP, RCRA, HIPAA, and related regulations while developing robust safety, waste management, and emergency response programs; you will work with leadership and cross-functional teams to drive safe, compliant workplaces.

Qualifications

• Eight+ years of progressively responsible EHS experience in regulated life sciences environments.
• Three+ years of leadership or people management experience.
• Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, IATA, RCRA, biosafety, and related regulatory requirements; laboratory safety and security preferred.
• Experience leading EHS programs, audits, incident investigations, risk assessments, and training initiatives.]
• Knowledge of chemical and biological waste management and vendor management for hazardous waste removal.
• Experience managing facilities operations, budgets, and multi-site operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead and continuously improve the EHS program across all locations.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local safety and environmental requirements.
• Develop and maintain EHS policies, procedures, training, and emergency plans.
• Serve as EHS subject matter expert and chemical hygiene/biosafety officer as assigned.
• Oversee internal audits, external readiness, investigations, corrective actions, and inspections.
• Develop EHS metrics and report to Senior Leadership; promote a safety culture.
• Partner with Laboratory Operations and Quality to support inspection readiness and safe lab practices.
• Lead cross-functional initiatives to improve safety and operational efficiency.
• Provide strategic oversight of facilities operations across sites; supervise Scottsdale and Boston office managers.
