Job summary

Paligen Technologies is seeking a Senior Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Manager to lead the company’s EHS programs across operations. The role focuses on strategic leadership, high-hazard construction safety, and risk management to ensure incident-free performance while safeguarding employees and facilities.

The position requires expert knowledge in design-build construction safety, contractor oversight, and integration of safety into project design processes, with travel ~30% to project

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Safety, Construction Management, Safety Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• 10+ years of progressive EHS experience in industrial/manufacturing/construction environments, with significant construction project exposure.
• Experience leading EHS programs during construction, capital projects, or site expansions.
• ISO 14001/45001 system implementation experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA construction standards, risk management, and contractor safety management.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the company’s multi-year EHS strategy aligned with objectives, growth plans, and regulatory frameworks.
• Advise senior leadership on emerging regulations, industry trends, and risk management opportunities.
• Establish a proactive, prevention-focused EHS culture across all departments and project sites.
• Lead the implementation of EHS programs, policies, and procedures for OSHA/EPA/NFPA compliance.
• Develop programs aligned with ISO 14001/45001 and support certification efforts.
• Provide hands-on support for risk assessments, safety planning, and regulatory compliance.
• Oversee contractor safety programs, subcontractor qualification, and site safety plans.
• Lead multisite EHS committees, training, and KPI dashboards.
