Job summary

Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories in Lewiston, ID is seeking an experienced EHS Lead Professional to develop and continuously improve environmental, health, and safety programs, driving regulatory and ISO compliance.

You will lead cross-functional teams, mentor staff, conduct audits, manage hazard control, and partner with leaders to advance operational excellence. The role emphasizes proactive safety culture and ESG stewardship for our facilities and communities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in EH&S-related field or engineering
• Professional certification such as CSP or CIH
• Minimum 5 years of management experience
• Subject matter expertise in EH&S programs
• Proficient with Microsoft Office 365
• Excellent writing and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team

Responsibilities

• Develop and refine EH&S programs to comply with regulations and standards
• Own multiple safety, compliance, and environmental programs
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand problems and needs
• Lead cross-functional teams to create company-wide solutions; act as SME
• Respond to inquiries and incidents; participate in audits and ISO 14001/45001
• Perform EH&S review in MOC process
• Manage hazard control and incident investigations with root-cause analysis
