Job summary

Medtronic in Brooklyn Park, MN seeks a Principal EHS Specialist to advance safety, industrial hygiene, and environmental programs across manufacturing operations. This onsite role partners with engineering, operations, and leadership to identify risks, implement controls, and drive a proactive safety culture.

Exposure assessments, air monitoring, and regulatory compliance are key responsibilities. Preferred candidates hold a relevant degree and professional certification with 6+ years of EHS

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree plus 6+ years experience OR higher in Environmental Health & Safety or related field.
• Experience implementing and managing EHS programs in manufacturing or highly regulated environments.
• Knowledge of ISO 14001/45001 and OSHA regulations; strong incident investigations and CAPA skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the implementation and continuous improvement of EHS programs supporting manufacturing operations and regulatory compliance.
• Serve as site Industrial Hygiene SME for exposure assessments, air monitoring, and controls.
• Act as Radiation Safety Officer and Laser Safety Officer per site requirements; ensure governance and compliance.
• Partner with operations, maintenance, engineering, and leadership to identify hazards and implement engineering, administrative, and behavioral controls.
• Conduct investigations, risk assessments, audits, and CAPA to drive corrective actions to closure.
• Monitor regulatory compliance, maintain documentation, and analyze performance metrics for continuous improvement.
