Job summary

Coherent Corp. is seeking an experienced EHS professional to plan, implement and coordinate EHS programs at Garnet operations across Easton, PA and Hillsborough, NJ. The role ensures regulatory compliance and drives safety performance.

The candidate should have a four-year degree in Safety/Engineering, 4+ years EHS experience, and be capable of conducting risk assessments, audits, trainings, and participating in the Emergency Response Team, with travel up to 25%.

Qualifications

• Four-year degree in Safety/Industrial/Chemical/Mechanical Engineering or related field preferred.
• 4+ years of EHS experience.
• Experience with regulatory/permitting compliance (PA/NJ).
• Experience conducting EHS risk assessments (JSAs, PHAs).
• Experience in chemical or manufacturing environments.

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement and coordinate EHS programs and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Assist with internal audits, root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Maintain safety files, records, and SDS management program.
• Perform industrial hygiene sampling and risk assessments (PHAs, JSAs).
• Coordinate EHS training and participate in Emergency Response Team activities.
