Natural Systems Utilities in Hillsborough, NJ, is seeking an Environmental Health, Safety & Compliance (EHS) Specialist to support program implementation and day-to-day operations across regions. The role partners with the Director of EHS to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations while promoting a strong safety culture.

Based in Hillsborough, this full-time position involves inspections, reporting, training, and incident support across operations, sites, and engineering

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Occupational Safety, or related field.
• 2–3 years of EH&S experience.
• OSHA/EPA knowledge and field experience preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office and safety documentation systems.

Responsibilities

• Support the implementation, administration, and improvement of EH&S programs across locations.
• Communicate and enforce safety procedures aligned with regulations.
• Maintain OSHA/EPA knowledge and communicate updates to the team.
• Manage Safety Data Sheets, chemical inventories, and HMIS classifications.
• Coordinate training and safety meetings for staff and contractors.
• Travel to service areas as needed to support operations.
