Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking an EHS Senior Engineer for Construction and Contractor Compliance in Florida. You will lead EHS oversight of active construction projects, work with contractors, and ensure safety plans meet OSHA and company standards.

You’ll coordinate with Project Management, Facilities, and Capital Projects, deliver training, review JHAs/AHAs, and drive a culture of safety across a multi-contractor environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health & Safety, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of EHS experience with focus on construction safety and contractor management.
• Experience with OSHA 29 CFR 1926 and 29 CFR 1910.
• Experience conducting site inspections, contractor audits, and incident investigations.
• Experience reviewing JHAs, AHAs, and contractor safety plans.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary EHS contact for construction and contractor activities across Florida operations.
• Conduct pre-construction EHS reviews, onboarding, and safety plan evaluations.
• Perform site inspections and contractor audits to ensure OSHA and Blue Origin standards.
• Investigate incidents and lead root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Review and approve JHAs, AHAs, and safety plans; partner with PM, Facilities, and Capital Projects.
• Track EHS performance metrics and support training for contractors and staff.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, NFPA, ANSI, and Florida safety regulations.
• Support permitting, regulatory interactions, and reporting; update internal programs.
