Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking an EHS Senior Engineer for Construction and Contractor Compliance in Florida. You will serve as the primary EHS expert for construction and contractor activities, conducting reviews, onboarding, site safety plan evaluations, inspections, and audits to ensure OSHA compliance and safety across a multi-contractor environment.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health & Safety, Engineering, or related technical discipline.
Minimum 5 years of EHS experience with focus on construction safety and contractor management.
Experience with OSHA 29 CFR 1926 Construction Standards and 29 CFR 1910 General Industry Standards.
Ability to interpret and communicate regulatory requirements across organizational levels.

Responsibilities

Lead EHS oversight for active construction projects and contractor operations.
Conduct pre-construction EHS reviews, onboarding, and site safety plan evaluations.
Perform site inspections and contractor audits to ensure OSHA compliance and internal standards.
Investigate incidents and develop corrective actions with root-cause analysis.
Review and approve JHAs, AHAs, and contractor safety plans.
Partner with project teams to integrate EHS into planning and execution.
Track EHS performance metrics and deliver training on construction safety topics.
