Job summary

ERM seeks a Consulting Senior Associate, Environmental Health and Safety in the Seattle area. Based in Washington with hybrid flexibility across Redmond, Bellevue, Seattle, Everett, Edmonds, the role involves hands-on client support, regulatory compliance, and incident investigations to improve workplace safety.

The role requires a bachelor’s in a related field or equivalent experience, 1+ year in EHS, and travel across the Puget Sound area.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in environmental science, safety, occupational health, industrial hygiene, engineering, or related field
• 1+ year of relevant experience in EHS compliance (e.g., stormwater, behavior-based safety)
• Ability to travel across Puget Sound area with occasional overnight stays
• Strong understanding of local, state, and federal EHS regulations
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills
• Driver’s license required for frequent client-site travel across large geographic area
• This position is not eligible for immigration sponsorship

Responsibilities

• Provide onsite client support to address pressing EHS challenges
• Support EHS compliance audits, including regulatory review, gap identification, findings documentation, and corrective-action planning
• Communicate effectively with clients and internal teams to deliver high-quality results
• Perform safety audits, assessments, and process improvements in areas such as HazComm, IIPP, and PSM
• Investigate incidents and ensure corrective actions are in place
• Assist in managing projects to meet scope, budget, and schedule targets
