Job summary

DSHS is seeking an EHR Readiness Specialist (Management Analyst 4) in Olympia to lead readiness activities for the agency’s Electronic Health Record implementation and ongoing optimization. You will coordinate across divisions, facilities, and external partners to ensure curricula and materials align with policies and operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, public administration, health administration, or a related field and four years of policy analysis or research experience, OR
• A combination of education and experience totaling eight or more years.
• Experience coordinating or incorporating readiness and training with external vendors or software providers.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate EHR readiness strategy and end-user education activities across divisions, facilities, and deployment phases.
• Serve as the main liaison between program leadership, clinicians, IT, vendors, and system integrators to align readiness efforts.
• Assess readiness needs by analyzing workflows, EHR functionality, user roles, and program requirements to identify gaps and recommend solutions.
• Review and adapt vendor readiness plans, curricula, and materials to align with policies and operational needs.
• Develop role-based readiness materials including curricula, guides, job aids, and simulations.
• Coordinate instructor-led, virtual, and train-the-trainer activities and manage scheduling and resources.
• Evaluate readiness effectiveness using feedback and adoption metrics; propose curriculum improvements.
• Identify and mitigate readiness risks with risk, privacy, security, and other partners.
