Southland Industries, a large national MEP company, is seeking an experienced EHS leader to plan, develop and manage environmental, health and safety programs across the division. This role emphasizes building a safety-driven culture and ensuring compliance with regulations and internal policies.

The position involves audits, training program development, and strategic direction to minimize risks. It also includes performance coaching, reporting, and overseeing safety recruitment to strengthen

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Safety, Health, Environmental Applied Sciences or related discipline.
• Minimum 8 years’ experience in EH&S including people management
• Certifications in CPR and First Aid.
• OSHA 10/30/40 training preferred.
• OSHA 500, CHST or ASP certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety audits and inspections and drive corrective actions for compliance across the division.
• Develop, implement, and maintain employee safety training programs and records.
• Create safety reports and presentations for management.
• Provide strategic direction to improve EHS performance and reduce risk.
• Ensure compliance with safety manuals, policies and across all locations.
• Oversee and guide department processes including accident investigations.
• Coach and develop direct reports; participate in annual performance process.
• Manage recruitment and hiring for safety roles.
