Job summary

Sharps Compliance, Inc. in Woodstock, GA, is seeking a Senior Environmental Health & Safety Specialist to lead safety and regulatory programs across multiple sites.

You will partner with Operations, Fleet and HR to strengthen workplace safety, ensure compliance, and drive continuous improvement. The role requires 5–7+ years of field experience, strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and DOT regulations, and the ability to mentor junior staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a safety or environmental field.
• 5–7+ years of progressive EH&S in multi-site operations.
• Experience leading safety inspections, compliance audits, and incident investigations.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, DOT regulations; hazardous/regulatory medical waste exp.
• CSP/ASP/HAZWOPER preferred; CSP a plus.
• Ability to mentor staff and lead cross-functional projects.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead OSHA, EPA, DOT, DEA, CDC regulatory compliance across sites.
• Design and lead facility safety inspections, audits, and hazard assessments.
• Investigate workplace injuries, accidents, near misses, and environmental incidents; implement corrective actions.
• Develop and deliver employee safety training programs and curricula.
• Maintain EH&S databases, training records, and incident documentation; prepare reports.
• Travel to company locations to lead audits, investigations, training, inspections, and support.
