Job summary

El Paso Children’s Hospital is seeking an Registered EEG Technologist to perform a variety of electroencephalographic examinations, including basic EEGs and extended monitoring. You will collect test data, assist with interpretation, and coordinate care with the department leadership to ensure high-quality patient services.

The role requires two years of EEG experience, completion of a healthcare program, and current BLS and ABRET-registered status, with bilingual abilities preferred for patient

Qualifications

• Completion of a healthcare program in a clinical area.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) from American Heart Association or American Red Cross; Registered EEG Technologist (R. EEG T.) with ABRET.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and conduct various EEG examinations, including basic EEGs and extended monitoring.
• Perform intraoperative monitoring and evoked potentials as applicable.
• Collect information related to interpretation of tests and evaluate patient care and service provision.
• Utilize equipment effectively and communicate across departments; coordinate with department Director, Medical Director, and medical staff.
• Ensure compliance with Joint Commission and other regulatory and practice standards; provide age-appropriate patient care.
