Job summary

Boston Children’s Hospital is seeking an Electroneurodiagnostic Technician to perform routine EEG procedures on adult and pediatric patients in outpatient and inpatient settings, including ICU and Epilepsy Long-Term-Monitoring units.

The role requires preparing patients and equipment, following laboratory standards, and ensuring safety during emergencies. The candidate should have a High School diploma and ABRET-related credentials preferred, with at least 1 year of EEG experience.

Qualifications

• High School/GED required.
• Graduation from an electroneurodiagnostic technology training program accredited by CAHEEP and ABRET registration preferred.
• 1 year of EEG experience required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares patients and equipment for procedures; obtains medical history.
• Performs EEG procedures per lab standards; adjusts equipment for optimal recordings.
• Acts during patient emergencies to ensure safety and electrical equipment safety.
• Completes documents, forms, and reports accurately.
• Troubleshoots recording equipment and coordinates repairs as needed.
• Attends technical staff meetings and contributes to procedure/protocol development.
• Participates in conferences and technical meetings locally, regionally, and nationally.
