Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health is seeking an EEG Technologist to perform routine EEGs and neurophysiological tests both in the lab and at the patient’s bedside. The role requires explaining procedures to patients and families, prioritizing studies with epileptologists, and ensuring equipment is properly tested and maintained.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, with ABRET EEG certification or NDT program background preferred, and CPR may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of accredited NDT program preferred.
• Registered EEG Technologist (ABRET) preferred.
• One year of experience; clinical hours may be considered as experience.
• Basic Life Support (CPR) required.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine EEG and neurophysiological testing in EEG lab and at patient bedside.
• Explains testing procedures to patients and families; prioritizes studies with input from epileptologists.
• Inspects and tests equipment; performs minor adjustments and repairs as needed.
• Assists with maintenance and liaises with biomed, I&T and vendors for proper hardware/software function.
• Participates in orientation and training of new employees; supports training needs with supervisor.
