Job summary

Magna International Limited is seeking a Senior Engineer - Electrical & Electronics Product & Process Technologies in Troy, MI. You will drive the development, evaluation, and industrialization of next‑generation automotive EE systems, power electronics, battery systems, and advanced manufacturing technologies.

The role bridges concept development to production launch, requiring strong engineering, manufacturing mindset, and collaboration with design, operations, suppliers, and partners.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in automotive electronics, electrification, advanced engineering, manufacturing engineering, or related technology development environments.
• Experience with Design for Manufacturing (DFM), Design for Assembly (DFA), Design for Test (DFT), and product industrialization.
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams including manufacturing operations, suppliers, and external partners.

Responsibilities

• Lead DFM/ DFA/ DFT activities throughout product development to improve manufacturability and cost efficiency.
• Develop and assess manufacturing processes for electronic modules, PCB assemblies, power electronics, and battery systems.
• Apply advanced manufacturing technologies including automation, robotics, and digital engineering tools.
• Develop, evaluate, and mature advanced automotive EE technologies and architectures.
• Utilize modeling, simulation, and analytical methods to evaluate system performance and trade-offs.
