Job summary
OPmobility SE in Troy, MI is seeking a Battery Electrical Engineer to support development, industrialization, validation, and launch of electrical manufacturing processes for battery products. You will work across cross-functional teams to ensure safe, robust, and scalable battery manufacturing systems and equipment.
The role covers electrical requirements, equipment specs, validation, troubleshooting, continuous improvement, and handoff of new programs to manufacturing.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.
- 2–5 years of electrical engineering experience in manufacturing/automation/product development.
- Experience reading electrical drawings, schematics, and electrical documentation.
- Experience supporting equipment installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, validation, or production launches.
- Knowledge of electrical troubleshooting, safety, PFMEA, APQP, and process documentation.
Responsibilities
- Lead electrical industrialization activities for battery product launches per APQP.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful product and equipment launches.
- Develop and support electrical requirements and specifications for manufacturing equipment.
- Review electrical drawings and documentation for compliance with requirements.
- Support electrical equipment testing, validation, and handoff to manufacturing.
