Job summary

Blackboard is seeking a Senior Educational Consultant to join the Educational Consulting & Training team. You will help customers implement Blackboard’s LMS, enable online teaching, and maximize educational value while traveling about 50% of the time.

Responsibilities include developing implementation plans, presenting to executives, coordinating with Sales/Marketing/Product teams, and delivering onsite training and e-learning consulting across courses and faculty development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in education, IT, business or equivalent.
• At least 5 years’ consulting in educational settings.
• Experience implementing software in diverse client environments.
• Experience with e-learning course management technology, preferably Blackboard.
• Knowledge of global higher or public education markets.
• Strong project management; multitasking ability.
• Fluent in Spanish and English.

Responsibilities

• Analyze customer needs and map Blackboard products to those needs.
• Identify gaps in skills, processes, or infrastructure.
• Develop customer-specific implementation plans and timelines.
• Present at meetings with executives and senior leadership.
• Identify risks and communicate mitigation plans to leadership.
• Collaborate with Sales, Marketing and Product Development for solutions.
• Coordinate with departments for complex, strategic accounts.
• Monitor progress and report status.
• Lead onsite and remote product training and best practices.
• Deliver e-learning consulting across course development, facilitation, and faculty development.
