Job summary

American Chemical Society's Chemical & Engineering News seeks a Senior Editor, Content Partnerships to expand reach via third-party platforms while upholding high editorial standards. You will oversee strategy, governance, and performance of CEN content on external sites and co-lead delivery of the partnership portfolio.

Based in Columbus, OH or Washington, DC with a hybrid schedule; ACS offers health, retirement, vacation, and other benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum 12 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 8 years with a Master's; or PhD with 5 years.
• Strong knowledge of scientific publishing and science journalism.
• Tech-savvy with ability to learn new systems and tools.
• Excellent communications and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee editorial strategy, governance, and performance of CEN content on third-party platforms.
• Develop and maintain publishing partnerships and content sharing agreements.
• Monitor partnerships with publications and manage workflows with cross-functional teams.
• Mentor junior staff and coordinate with editors, publishers, and legal teams.
