Chemical Abstracts Service (CAS) seeks a social media strategy leader to transform ACS presence into audience-first storytelling across LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube Shorts, TikTok and more. You will partner with leadership to shape engagement, influence, and reputational risk management while guiding a team of social media specialists toward consistent, high-impact execution.

Based in Washington, DC, the role offers a hybrid schedule with two onsite days and options to work remotely.

Qualifications

• 9+ years of experience in social media strategy or related fields.
• 5+ years managing teams in a complex environment and advising executives on social media best practices.
• Excellent writing and editing skills and ability to craft platform-appropriate narratives.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership across flagship social platforms and new initiatives.
• Develop and execute a content creator partnership roadmap.
• Lead, coach, and develop a team of social media specialists.
• Establish processes and select tools for performance measurement and insights.
• Monitor trends and translate opportunities into on-brand content.
• Guide leadership with crisis response plans to protect ACS reputation.
• Collaborate with leaders across the organization to deliver integrated campaigns and consistent messaging.
