Job summary

CGS Federal (Contact Government Services) seeks a Senior eDiscovery Technician in Arlington, VA to support the legal organization of a large Federal agency. The role covers data processing, virus checks, loading into Relativity, and on-site operations within an eDiscovery environment.

Three years of eDiscovery experience and a Bachelor's degree are required, with U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance.

Qualifications

• Three years of eDiscovery technical experience to compile, analyze, and support project tasks.
• Bachelor's degree; three years of additional relevant work experience may substitute for the degree.
• Knowledge of information resources and strong analytical capabilities.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to deliver high-quality work under pressure and tight deadlines.
• Experience managing multiple tasks as described in the duties above.
• U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance.

Responsibilities

• Log productions in the Agency's eDiscovery Tracking System.
• Digest cover letters and describe production succinctly for loading into Relativity.
• If encrypted and no password, contact producing party for password.
• Determine if cover letter contains substantive information for Relativity loading.
• Virus scan production off-network using multiple antivirus tools; address issues or reject production as needed.
• Copy 'clean' production to the Agency's network following protocol.
• Follow protocols for handling various document types (whistleblower, RFPA, MOUs, International, BSA, audio, transcripts, laptops, paper).
• Analyze productions to determine required processing and applicable protocol.
• Ensure data completeness and, if load-ready, verify all components before notifying Litigation Support.
• Monitor incoming productions via email and via the Agency FTP site.
• Scan and OCR small paper documents; coordinate off-site scanning for multi-box productions.
