Job summary

CGS Federal (Contact Government Services) seeks an experienced Senior Data Specialist II to support the eDiscovery workflow for a large federal initiative. You will manipulate files, load and index data, and ensure exports comply with ESI specifications while supporting attorneys, investigators, and paralegals.

The role requires knowledge of eDiscovery processes, familiarity with Relativity and LAW, and at least two years in eDiscovery tasks such as data processing, QA, and data analysis.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree preferred, preferably in computer science or related field.
• Requires knowledge of litigation discovery process and the EDRM workflow.
• Knowledge of Government IT environment, including office automation networks and PC/server apps preferred.
• Working knowledge of Windows, document review software and encryption methods.
• Experience with LAW, IPRO, Relativity or other document processing platforms.
• Familiarity with ICONECT, Relativity, MS Office Suite, and West LiveNote valued.
• At least two years’ experience in eDiscovery roles including data processing, image/data file conversion, culling, QA, and data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Performs file manipulation, loading, conversion services, database indexing, and quality checks of loads.
• Develops and refines methodologies for manipulating files for use with litigation support apps.
• Ensures incoming productions comply with ESI specifications.
• Exports data from databases with QA of exports and redactions according to ESI specs.
• Supports client attorneys, investigators, and paralegals by tracking and processing documents and creating review databases.
• Manages documents/data under client guidance with document review tools and various ESI formats.
• Coordinates with Litigation Support Manager to ensure productions meet ESI specifications and notes deficiencies.
• Works with client Technology Service Center on outsourced litigation support projects.
• Ensures exports for productions comply with ESI specs and client requirements.
• Collaborates with Litigation Support Specialist to modify/manipulate files for use with COTS tools.
