Job summary

Contact Government Services, LLC (CGS) is seeking an experienced Senior Data Specialist to support a large federal agency initiative within the eDiscovery department. The role focuses on data manipulation, loading, export controls, and adherence to ESI specifications using tools like LAW, Relativity, IPRO, and West LiveNote.

The successful candidate will collaborate with client attorneys and IT staff, ensuring high data quality and compliant productions.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree preferred—preferably in computer science or related field.
• Requires knowledge of litigation discovery process, and the EDRM workflow.
• Knowledge of Government IT environment, including office automation networks, PC and server-based applications preferred.
• Working knowledge of personal computers, including Windows, document review software, and encryption methods.
• Experience with LAW, IPRO, Relativity or other document processing platform.
• Familiarity with ICONECT, Relativity, MS Office Suite, and West LiveNote valued.
• At least two years’ experience performing eDiscovery roles including electronic files processing, image and data file conversion, data culling using review tools, quality assurance, database loads and retrieval, and data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Performs file manipulation, loading, conversion services, database indexing, and quality checks of loads.
• Develops, evaluates and modifies methodologies and procedures for manipulating files for use with COTS products and litigation support applications.
• Ensures incoming productions are made pursuant to applicable ESI specifications.
• Exports data from contractor and client databases, including identifying data for export and ensuring exports comply with ESI specifications.
• Supports client attorneys, investigators, and paralegals by tracking and processing incoming documents and data; creating, loading, and managing document review databases; producing documents to opposing parties in litigation; tracking produced documents.
• Manages documents and data under guidance from client attorneys, including use of document review tools and various data types (ESI, PDFs, emails, etc.).
• Coordinates with the Litigation Support Manager to ensure productions meet ESI specs and reports deficiencies when found.
• Collaborates with client Technology Service Center on outsourced litigation support projects.
• Ensures exports for productions comply with ESI specs and client requirements; works with attorneys on discovery issues.
