Job summary

CGS Federal is seeking a Senior eDiscovery Technician to support the legal organization within a large Federal agency in Dallas, TX. This full-time, mid-level role requires handling eDiscovery processing, virus scanning, and protocol-based data management with strict compliance and security requirements.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in eDiscovery, a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience), strong analytical and communication skills, and US citizenship with the ability to obtain a Public

Qualifications

• Three years of eDiscovery technical experience supporting project task requirements.
• Bachelor’s degree; three years of additional, directly relevant work experience may substitute for the degree.
• Knowledge of information resources.
• Excellent analytical capabilities.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to deliver high-quality work under extreme pressure and tight deadlines.
• Experience managing multiple tasks as defined in Duties & Responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Log productions in the Agency's eDiscovery Tracking System.
• Digest cover letters and describe the production briefly.
• Obtain passwords from producing party if encrypted productions; contact if needed.
• Determine if cover letters qualify for loading into Relativity.
• Virus scan productions off-network with multiple tools; reject if issues.
• Follow protocol to address or reject issues when viruses are detected.
• Copy clean productions to the Agency's network.
• Handle documents per protocol for whistleblower, RFPA, MOUs, international, BSA, audio files, transcripts, laptops, or paper.
• Analyze productions to decide processing type and protocol.
• Check data for completeness; notify Litigation Support Specialist if incomplete.
• Monitor incoming productions via email and FTP; coordinate off-site scanning for paper boxes.
