Job summary

MetroPlusHealth is seeking a Sr. EDI Programmer/System Analyst to support our Production team and business units with a wide range of critical software applications.

You will develop custom scripts, test applications, patch older platforms, and maintain legacy systems. The role involves collaborating with developers and IT staff to define specifications, verifying requirements with end users, translating client needs into new features, and deploying interfaces per specifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field required.
• 6-7 years’ experience as a Full Stack Developer or similar role; or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• Understanding of software design and programming principles.
• Project management skills.
• Operational and technical experience with development tools including VB.NET; C#; REST API; Visual Studio; Python; LINQ; XML; JSON; and AI-assisted tools; and Microsoft DevOps framework; Agile methodology.
• Strong experience with Microsoft SQL Server and SSIS.
• Knowledge of Salesforce is a plus; healthcare industry knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with development team and IT staff to set specifications for new applications.
• Interact with end users to verify detailed specifications.
• Translate client requirements into new application features.
• Participate in detailed programming development and testing of interfaces according to specifications.
• Write high-quality, complex code to program complete applications on schedule.
• Build the front-end of applications with appealing visual design.
• Develop and manage well-functioning databases and applications.
• Plan and participate in application deployment with Service Desk coordination.
• Maintain applications and address security threats and performance issues.
• Provide feedback to improve system/application performance.
• Develop technical documentation.
