Sr. Systems Administrator – EDI

Summary

We are seeking an experienced Systems Administrator to work with Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) by configuring and maintaining the infrastructure, software, and communication protocols that enable seamless data exchange between trading partners. Tasks include monitoring EDI transactions, troubleshooting transmission errors, managing user accounts, ensuring data format compliance with standards, and collaborating with business units and other IT teams to support EDI integration projects.

Responsibilities

• Monitor EDI transactions and diagnose failures;
• Provided server-level diagnostics (e.g., reviewing logs, troubleshooting);
• Update and maintain user profiles;
• Perform server administration tasks (e.g., restarts, issue resolution);
• Read, modify, and update SQL queries for monitoring and reporting needs;
• Assist with data-related troubleshooting and support.
• Scripting & Automation:
  • Develop and maintain scripts using JavaScript to support various system tasks;
  • Support automation efforts and enhance system functionality.
• Attend team meetings, respond to tickets, and work closely with cross-functional teams;
• Communicate proactively with stakeholders and end users.
• Vulnerability Remediation & Project Work:
  • Work on ongoing infrastructure vulnerability projects;
  • Collaborate with teams to improve system security and stability.

Requirements

• Systems admin expertise including log analysis, troubleshooting, and server access.
• Proficiency with SQL; ability to read, modify, troubleshoot, and write basic queries.
• Self-starter attitude; proactive, intuitive, and capable of working independently.
• Availability for on-call work once every 5 weeks.

Preferred

• Development experience in Java, .NET, Vue.js, and/or Angular.
• Experience using Power BI or Tableau for data visualization and reports.
• Background in Tier-2 Help Desk Support or Healthcare IT.
• Strong tenure and stability in previous roles.

This is a 12-month Contract opportunity with our Kansas City, MO client.
