Job summary
Syms Strategic Group, LLC is seeking a Senior Software Developer (EDI) to lead EDI workflows, data validation, and partner integrations in a remote U.S. based role within the Veterans Affairs department.
The position demands extensive Edifecs experience and deep knowledge of X12 standards. You will collaborate with EDI Analysts, DevSecOps, cloud teams, and business stakeholders to ensure accurate transaction processing, compliance with SNIP validations, and robust error handling across AS2,
Qualifications
- 8+ years of Edifecs and EDI experience.
- Experience with X12 transactions and SNIP validations.
- Strong SQL and data reconciliation skills.
- Excellent communication with stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Own EDI workflows, partner requirements, and data validation rules.
- Monitor transaction processing and support business operations.
- Interpret and troubleshoot 270/271, 276/277, 820, 835, 837, 999/277CA.
- Analyze SNIP compliance and partner-specific validation rules.
- Document mapping and integration changes for new partners.
- Collaborate with EDI Analysts, DevSecOps, and cloud teams.
- Work with AS2, SFTP, and HTTPS flows.
- Validate payloads and reconcile EDI with stored data.
