Job summary

Syms Strategic Group (SSG) is seeking a Senior Software Developer (EDI) to own EDI workflows and partner data validation within our Veterans Affairs program. The role emphasizes SNIP compliance, Edifecs tooling, AWS cloud environments, and complex X.12 transactions.

You will collaborate with EDI Analysts, DevSecOps, cloud teams, and business stakeholders to ensure accurate transaction processing, data quality, and end-to-end integration across AS2, SFTP, and HTTPS flows.

Qualifications

8+ years of Edifecs product experience in EDI, healthcare, or enterprise operations.
8+ years of EDI/HIPAA experience.
Experience with Edifecs XEngine validation results and processing rules.
Experience with SpecBuilder maps and implementation guides.
Knowledge of SNIP validations, companion guides, and error analysis.

Responsibilities

Own EDI workflows, partner rules, and data validation.
Ensure accurate transaction processing and support operations.
Interpret and troubleshoot EDI 270/271, 276/277, 278, 820, 834, 835, 837, 999/277CA.
Document mapping requirements for new partners and integration changes.
Collaborate with EDI Analysts, DevSecOps, Cloud teams, and business units.
Support AS2, SFTP, and HTTPS data flows.
Validate payloads, timestamps, statuses, and error flags.
Reconcile mismatches between raw EDI and stored data.
