Job summary

Wind River seeks a Senior Solutions Architect to drive edge solutions across enterprise and edge deployments. You will guide technical strategy, engage with executives, and shape product direction while leading advanced demonstrations and architectural reviews.

The role requires travel and a deep mix of software, systems, and business acumen to deliver secure, scalable solutions for customers across industries.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in technical sales engineering for embedded software and cloud technologies at the edge.
• Strong background in operating systems (enterprise Linux, embedded Linux, RTOS, mixed-criticality).
• Experience with middleware and runtimes for edge workloads (Docker, containerd, Kubernetes, K3s, MicroK8s).
• Ability to translate technical solutions into clear business value and ROI for executives.
• Experience presenting, doing demonstrations, POCs, and reference architectures.

Responsibilities

• Technical Leadership: act as SME for emerging markets and technologies for sales, clients, and stakeholders.
• Solution Architecture: design scalable edge solutions addressing business pain points.
• Strategic Client Engagement: align solutions with client goals at C‑level and senior tech levels.
• Advanced Demonstrations: deliver compelling technical demos and POC content.
• Competitive Analysis: understand markets and articulate differentiated value.
• Product Development Influence: feed insights to product and R&D to shape roadmap.
• Technical Sales Strategy: develop tactics and write requirements for tech sales.
• Thought Leadership: create white papers, blogs, and talks to showcase expertise.
