The City of Rowlett, Texas seeks an experienced Economic Development Director to lead the implementation of the city's economic goals. Under the Director, you will oversee day-to-day programs supporting the community's development plan and coordinate cross-department efforts to attract investment.

Responsibilities include marketing campaigns, incentive negotiation, redevelopment project guidance, and partnerships with the Chamber of Commerce to grow jobs and the tax base.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in business/related field; Master’s preferred.
• 5+ years of progressive economic development leadership experience.
• CEcD or EDFP certifications preferred; other certifications considered.

Mansioni

• Lead and manage web, print and social media marketing campaigns for the department.
• Collaborate on targeted economic development marketing, business recruitment, and site promotion strategies.
• Oversee staff with measurable goals, reporting standards and benchmarks.
• Oversee TIRZ, PID and MMD districts and boards; manage project execution.
• Evaluate and monitor economic development incentives and tools (380 agreements, tax abatements, grants, etc.).
• Represent the City at civic, cultural, business, and community activities; engage with boards and commissions.
• Support ED programs to attract private investment, create jobs, and expand tax base.
• Conduct financial and fiscal impact analyses; develop investment recommendations.
• Coordinate recruitment with national/international businesses and site selectors; present proposals and materials.
• Support BRE program in partnership with Chamber of Commerce; maintain communications with local businesses.
• Negotiate comprehensive development agreements and monitor compliance; report to ED Advisory Board, City Manager and Council.
