Job summary

The City of Rowlett, Texas is seeking an experienced Emergency Management Coordinator to lead and manage the city's comprehensive emergency management program. You will maintain the Emergency Operations Plan and coordinate with City departments, outside agencies, and public stakeholders to enhance readiness, response, and recovery efforts.

Responsibilities include developing training programs (NIMS-compliant), managing budgets and grants, and coordinating disaster exercises.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Emergency Management, Public Administration, or closely related field and five years of professional experience in emergency management.
• Must possess IC 100, 200, 300, 400, 700 and 800 certifications.
• Knowledge of Hawaii? No

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage the City’s comprehensive emergency management program.
• Maintain the Emergency Operations Plan and ensure compliance with federal, state and local laws.
• Develop and conduct annual disaster training exercises and coordinate with outside agencies.
• Administer grant programs and manage budgets related to emergency management.
