Job summary

The City of El Segundo seeks a Senior Management Analyst to support the Economic Development Program, focusing on business attraction, retention, expansion, and hospitality initiatives that strengthen the local economy and community vitality.

Under general supervision, the incumbent provides administrative, analytical and financial management support, coordinates projects, and collaborates with businesses, developers, and stakeholders to advance city goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in relevant field.
• Three years of increasingly responsible admin/management experience, including supervisory experience.
• Valid California driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• Experience in budget and grant management.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate administrative and management functions including accounting, purchasing, payroll.
• Perform complex financial management and assist with budget development.
• Coordinate activities among City departments and external grant administrators.
• Conduct research and prepare reports and policy documents.
• Provide staff support to committees and represent the department externally.
• Recruit, hire, supervise and evaluate staff; oversee training.
