Job summary

The City of El Segundo seeks a strategic Senior Management Analyst to support its Economic Development Program, including business attraction, retention and expansion, and hospitality initiatives that strengthen the local economy.

You will conduct economic research, develop programs, coordinate special projects, and collaborate with businesses and stakeholders to advance City goals. Strong project management and communication skills are essential, with a focus on delivering measurable results.

Qualifications

• Three years of increasingly responsible administrative/management experience, including one year of supervisory experience.
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Business Administration, Public Administration or a closely related field is required.
• Valid California driver's license and acceptable driving record are required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and facilitates administrative and/or management functions including accounting, purchasing, payroll and related activities for a department, program, grant or contract.
• Performs complex financial management services, participates in budget development and monitoring.
• Coordinates activities among City departments and external entities; manages grant administration and reporting.
• Conducts research and statistical analyses; prepares reports and documentation.
• Provides staff support to department executives and committees; coordinates meetings and citywide events.
• Responds to inquiries and handles public/media relations for programs and advisory committees.
• Recruits, hires, trains, supervises and evaluates staff; enforces personnel policies.
