Job summary

Ulta Beauty is seeking a Sr. Transportation Analyst to act as a key analytical partner for the Ecommerce Transportation team.

You will drive performance, optimize transportation, and lead continuous improvement across the ecommerce network, translating data into actionable recommendations for leadership. You will collaborate with carriers and cross-functional partners to manage peak forecasting, cost optimization, and transportation strategy, delivering measurable results and value to guest

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a logistics/distribution/supply chain environment.
• Must be comfortable learning new software.
• Project management experience is required.
• SmartSheet skills are preferred
• Strong analytical skills are required.
• Previous experience in managing vendors/carriers is preferred.
• Experience in process improvement and best practices is preferred.
• Self-motivated with strong organization and follow-up skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to evaluate situations and make informed decisions.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills preferred.
• Ability to communicate with carriers and DCs over the telephone and Teams meetings.
• Maintains a professional image in person, on the phone, and in writing.
• Willingness and ability to work a flexible schedule, including overtime and weekends when needed.
• Flexibility in daily task assignments as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Drive ecommerce transportation performance improvement using data and reporting to identify trends and opportunities.
• Translate analytics into clear business recommendations for leadership and cross-functional partners.
• Support carrier performance management and analyze service issues and trends.
• Lead transportation cost optimization by analyzing costs, rates, surcharges, and invoices.
• Lead cross-functional projects to improve cost, service, capacity, and network efficiency.
• Own PSFA and peak forecasting to translate forecasts into transportation requirements.
• Support peak transportation planning and mitigation across stakeholders.
• Evaluate transportation impacts of new fulfillment methods and network changes.
• Prepare leadership and carrier-ready insights and updates for meetings and reviews.
