CK is expanding its Ecological Program in Texas and seeks an experienced Senior Environmental Scientist to lead complex natural resource and permitting projects along the Gulf Coast. You will work directly with clients and regulators, mentor staff, and expand CK's ecological services across Texas.

The role emphasizes ownership of projects, growth in business development, and leadership in environmental strategy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Biology, Ecology, Wildlife, Fisheries, Wetland Science, Natural Resources, or related discipline.
• 8+ years of environmental consulting or related natural resource experience with progressive project and client responsibility.
• Experience with WOTUS delineation and assessment; USACE jurisdictional determinations and permitting.

Responsibilities

• Lead natural resource and environmental permitting projects from scoping to completion.
• Manage permitting with federal, state, and local agencies including coastal and waters permitting.
• Develop permitting strategies to navigate complex regulatory requirements.
• Mentor junior ecological staff and provide technical guidance.
• Prepare reports, permit applications, and regulatory correspondence.
• Develop new business opportunities and maintain client relationships.
