Job summary

CK is expanding its Ecological Program in Texas and seeks an experienced Senior Environmental Scientist to lead complex natural resource and environmental permitting projects, interact directly with clients and regulators, and mentor staff. You will oversee scopes, schedules, budgets, and deliverables while developing new business opportunities and expanding CK's ecological services along the Gulf Coast.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or related discipline.
• 8+ years of environmental consulting or closely related experience with project and client management.
• Experience with WOTUS delineation, USACE determinations and permitting, and coastal permitting.
• Strong knowledge of the Clean Water Act, Endangered Species Act, Rivers and Harbors Act, and CZMA.
• Experience coordinating with federal, state, and local regulatory agencies.
• Proven ability to lead multiple projects and build client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Lead natural resource and environmental permitting projects from scoping through completion.
• Develop permitting strategies and manage complex regulatory approvals.
• Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, and client communications.
• Prepare technical reports, permit applications, and regulatory correspondence.
• Mentor junior staff and provide technical guidance.
• Develop new business opportunities and participate in client meetings.
