Job summary

CK Associates, an employee-owned environmental consulting firm, is expanding its Ecological Program in Texas. The Senior Environmental Scientist will lead complex natural resource and permitting projects, interacting directly with clients and regulators while mentoring junior staff.

You will develop client relationships, manage scopes, schedules, and budgets, and help CK grow its ecological services across the Gulf Coast.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Biology, Ecology, or related field.
• 8+ years environmental consulting with project and client-management responsibility.
• Experience with WOTUS delineation, USACE jurisdictional determinations, USACE permitting, coastal permitting, wetland impact assessments and mitigation.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Identify opportunities with existing clients and develop relationships to grow CK's Ecological Program in Texas.
• Lead natural resource and environmental permitting projects from scoping to completion.
• Coordinate with USACE and other agencies; manage 404/401, RHA sections, and coastal permits.
• Mentor junior staff and provide technical guidance and project oversight.
• Prepare technical reports, permit applications, and regulatory correspondence.
