Job summary

CK Associates, LLC in Texas is seeking an experienced Senior Environmental Scientist to lead complex natural resource and permitting projects and expand CK's ecological services along the Gulf Coast. You will work directly with clients and regulators, mentor staff, develop new opportunities, and ensure quality deliverables such as permit applications, reports, and assessments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Biology, Ecology, or related discipline.
• 8+ years in environmental consulting with project and client management.
• Experience with WOTUS delineation and USACE determinations, permitting, and coastal permitting.
• Strong knowledge of Clean Water Act, Endangered Species Act, Rivers and Harbors Act, and CZMA.
• Experience coordinating with USACE and other agencies.
• Strong plant identification and taxonomy skills.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects of varying size and complexity.

Responsibilities

• Lead natural resource and environmental permitting projects from scoping to completion.
• Manage federal, state, and local permitting efforts and regulatory coordination.
• Develop permitting strategies to navigate complex requirements.
• Prepare and review technical reports, permit applications, and regulatory correspondence.
• Mentor junior ecological staff and provide project oversight.
• Develop client relationships and seek new project opportunities.
• Lead and participate in proposal development and client meetings.
• Collaborate with clients and regulatory agencies to ensure project success.
