Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an Environmental Scientist/Environmental Risk Assessor to support Human Health and Ecological projects. You will assist with regulatory compliance for federal, state, and local projects within CDM Smith’s Environmental Services Group.

Role includes development of exposure models, risk assessments, and QA plans, with collaboration across scientists, geologists, engineers and toxicologists to shape project approaches and deliverables.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Science or related discipline with professional scientist registration/certification OR Master's degree in Science or related discipline.
• 7 years of related experience.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required; frequency contingent on duties.

Responsibilities

• Supports site investigations and data interpretation for human health risk assessments (HHRA) and ecological risk assessments (ERA).
• Develops data quality objectives (DQOs), QAPPs, and sampling and analysis plans (SAPs).
• Prepares conceptual site exposure models (CSEM), HHRA, SLERA, and BERAs.
• Collaborates with scientists, engineers, and toxicologists to implement approved project approaches.
• Provides technical guidance and mentorship to junior staff and supports client meetings.
