Job summary

San Jose Water is seeking an Asset Management Systems Supervisor to lead the implementation, maintenance, and optimization of the Enterprise Asset Management system and related technologies that support asset and work management.

Reporting to the Director of Asset Management, you will supervise a team of analysts, coordinate cross‑departmental projects, ensure data quality, and deliver BI‑driven reports to improve asset performance and safe, efficient work execution.

Qualifications

• Asset management principles and best practices in enterprise settings.
• Strong communication with operating teams, both written and verbal.
• Ability to translate business processes into technical configurations and data models.
• Experience writing SQL against relational databases and using BI/reporting tools.
• Experience integrating CMMS/EAM with other business systems.
• Analytical mindset with ability to derive actionable insights from data.
• Familiarity with ETL concepts and data quality practices.
• Ability to work across all organizational levels and manage priorities.

Responsibilities

• Foster a culture of safety and accountability, ensuring compliance with policies and OSHA regulations.
• Supervise end-user support for asset management systems including training and reporting.
• Collaborate with supervisors, users, developers, and system leads to improve field applications.
• Support implementation and updates of EAM software.
• Oversee data quality, asset/work performance, and BI reporting.
• Build an organizational culture that sustains asset management system utilization and data quality.
• Support CMMS data integrations with multiple business systems.
• Manage and support mobile application development.
• Prepare performance reports using BI analytics visualizations and dashboards.
